By Thursday afternoon I was cruising to Galveston, sun roof open, ready for some fresh seafood. I hit the beach for a while. In the slightly modified words of Charlie Robison
For your viewing pleasure (again maybe? I can't remember)
I grabbed a bite to each at the distinguished and lovely Gaido's which has been serving fresh, Gulf seafood for 100 hundred years. I choose the house salad, Watkin's Bisque and Sapporito Shrimp, if you were wondering. I didn't eat half of it and mourned leaving it and not being able to finish. It was scrumptious. Seriously.
After supper, I drove down the Sea Wall Boulevard (it may have another name, I don't know). I took a picture with my Blackberry's camera, of me, that I actually like:
After that, I did a little shopping at GNC and Sally's Beauty Supply since I hadn't planned this little excursion to Galveston and was planning on being home.
The next day, I drove MY NEW CAR home! I love it, Y'all.

So fun to 'see' you on your blog! I agree- that is a cute picture. Love the new car too. After a decade of driving "Pig Pen" the mini-van, I'm about to get a new one. Within a few weeks, I'll be sporting a new ride too- though mine will STILL be a mini-van! Sounds like a fun little trip. I miss our jaunts out to the ocean that the Hubs and I took when we lived in Portand, Oregon. Sigh.
I LOVE the HHRs. I wanted a burnt orange one. The family disliked it as they big strapping boys didnt think the back seat was very comfy.
Enjoy yours!!!
You are looking great and sure do know how to enjoy yourself.
Cynthia - EXCITING! Minivan or not, it's nice to have something new (or new to you).
Kath - I LOVE MY HHR.
Love the new car too. It’s beautiful. And I also love your picture. And the sea behind you. Great post.
